Artist Bio:
Lena was born on Victoria Island and grew up on Banks Island. Now, when one thinks of Lena, qiviuk comes to mind; she knits with the world's most luxurious natural fibres, the wool of the soft undercoat of the musk ox. She hand spins much of the wool she uses. Northern (or Southern) winters can be much more enjoyable with one of Lena's qiviuk scarves around the neck! Lena is also known for her fine beadwork and hand sewn mukluks, and has recently added jewellery to her repertoire.
