Artist Story
Overtime, I have noticed that I communicate my personality through my art. It was not intentional but one day, I noticed my jewelry stated to look like me – the precise repetition of wire wrapped jewelry is very much reflective of my personality.
All of my knowledge on wire wrapping came from shared learning while I was travelling in Mexico in 2009. I started becoming creative with it and soon, work evolved into quality of refined wearable art. Shortly after this learning journey I moved to Yellowknife and noticed that my craft was unique so I decided to stick with it and make it a specialty.
When it comes to my design conception, I am patient for inspiration. When it happens, I produce the picture in my mind. Seeing the final product resting in my hands is very satisfying and to see it worn and appreciated by others is very special to me.
