NWT Arts

I am originally from Vancouver Island, and I am currently residing in Inuvik, NWT. I studied at Alberta College of Art and Design before moving to the Northwest Territories in 2003.

The untamed wilderness and wildlife of the north is an unending source of inspiration for my work. I delight in colour and the north really provides that connection for me. Colours here are truly spectacular – whether it is the shimmering Aurora Borealis, the sun lighting up the forest against the snow or glinting off the back of a running caribou; to the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets which paint the entire sky with vivid intensity. This intensity finds its way into each of my pieces.
