Somba K’e, Denendeh — Dene Nahjo invites the public to experience the revitalization of an ancient cultural practice through the teachings of Elders during a three-week caribou and moose hide tanning camp at Somba K’e Civic Plaza (Yellowknife Tennis Courts) this summer, July 11-29, 2016 Monday – Friday.

Join Yellowknife painter Jessica McVicker for the opening of her solo exhibition Born and Raised at ARCC (the Artist Run Community Centre) in Old Town on Thursday June 16 @ 7-9 pm.

 

The show features original acrylic paintings from a recent en plein air painting expedition in BC. ARCC’s studio is located at 3541 McDonald Drive.

City of Yellowknife Transformer Utility Box & Street Light Box Public Art Program

 

The City of Yellowknife and Northland Utilities have partnered in a public art initiative which will see several transformer and street light boxes resurfaced by artists.

 

Painters, digital, mosaic and graffiti artists as well as artists who draw, photograph and any other artists working in two dimensional mediums are invited to submit a proposal to the City. Artists will be selected by a five person project team.

Dear YK ARCC members and friends,

Please take notice that the Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday May 1st 2016, at 3PM, at the studio located on 3-3541 Macdonald Drive, in Yelllowknife's Old Town.
